PREP is the religious education instruction program for Catholic students not attending a Catholic elementary school. We are happy to assist you, the parents and guardians, who are the first teachers of your child's faith. The PREP classes are held on Wednesdays, from September through May beginning at 4:30 PM, dismissal is at 5:45 PM. Registered students report to the Lower Church to sit with their class. Catechists escort each class to school for lessons. Dismissal is from the doors next to the Marian Grotto. Please park in the church parking lot. Classes are held for students beginning with first grade. Classes run from September through May.
REGISTRATION: If you are registering for the first time, a copy of the child's baptism certificate will be required. For those students who are in third grade and older a copy of the certificates of Penance and First Eucharist will be required as well as proof of attendance in a Catholic school or other PREP program in the previous year. Returning students must re-register. See below for additional information.
VOLUNTEERS: We are looking for volunteer hall monitors, catechists, class room aides, and substitutes. All volunteers must complete Archdiocesan required clearances and training before service may begin.
SACRAMENTS: Sacrament preparation is a part of the PREP program. Parents/guardians of children needing to be baptized should contact a parish priest at the rectory. (215 624-6188).
